March Madness Weight Loss Fitness Training Special

Carey Yang, CPT - Denville Morris County NJ Personal Trainer
It’s March Madness time for NCAA Basketball tournaments to crown national champions. Denville, Morris County NJ personal trainer Carey Yang announces a special March Madness special to celebrate the national craze for college basketball games.
Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.
“Now it’s springtime. Although the weather hasn’t been so kind this winter, it shouldn’t prevent you from working out and eating healthy. If you haven’t done so, it’s about time for spring training and getting ready for summer beach swimsuit season,” Yang says.
Yang offers four strategies to help overweight and obese men and women burn fat 24/7 by optimizing fat burning hormones and elevating metabolism around the clock.
1. Optimized Nutrient Combining: Avoid deadly nutrient combination of carb and fat. Release of insulin and fat promote storage. Do this by simply protein in every meal.
2. Carb Syncing: Prime your body with carb at the right times, in the morning and after intense exercise.
3. Strategic Overfeeding: Restricting calories and dieting put your body to starvation mode and decrease your metabolism to burn less fat. Strategic overfeeding resets your metabolism and keep your fat-burning furnace running again.
4. Metabolic Resistance Training: This type of exercise provides a huge metabolic stimulus to the entire muscular and cardiovascular systems at the same time through strategically designed full body resistance training combined with minimal rest.  This is what allows for an unparalleled exercise-induced increase in metabolism for hours and hours after your session—something we call the “after burn.”
“When you combine the metabolism power of Metabolic Resistance Training with the hormone-regulating power of Optimized Nutrient Timing, Carb Syncing, and Strategic Overfeeding, the only thing your body can do is respond by burning fat 24/7,” Yang says.

Breast Cancer Patients and Survivors Benefit from Strength Training and Cardio Exercises with Essex County NJ Fitness Trainer

Breast cancer patients and survivors can recover from treatments faster and improve their health by proper strength training and supervised exercises with certified personal trainer and fitness expert Carey Yang in Morris County, New Jersey.
Diagnosed and treated with breast cancer is a devastating experience. Breast cancer patients and survivors may be feeling down and out. “By proper strength training and supervised exercise with a certified personal trainer, cancer patients can recover faster can cancer survivors can improve their health,” says Carey Yang, Morris County NJ #1 in-home personal trainer.
Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC — a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.
Current research provides promising evidence that exercise training is a well-tolerated and safe intervention that can mitigate several common treatment-related side effects, including fatigue, deconditioning, nausea, anxiety, and loss of muscle strength.
Over the past decade, exercise has emerged as an integral aspect of cancer survivorship and preventing or treating the late effects of therapy. Similar to during therapy, clinical trials in this setting have provided strong evidence that exercise is a well-tolerated and safe intervention associated with significant improvements in cardiorespiratory fitness, fatigue, and quality of life in cancer survivors.
Several landmark observational studies have provided the first evidence that regular exercise (such as brisk walking for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week) is associated with 15 percent to 61 percent reductions in the risk of mortality following a diagnosis of early-stage breast or colorectal cancer, relative to survivors who were inactive.
It is becoming increasingly evident that sedentary behavior and decreased exercise levels following a cancer diagnosis can increase treatment-related toxicities, whereas engaging in regular exercise can significantly reduce the incidence and extent of such toxicities.
The field of exercise oncology is rapidly evolving with many unanswered questions. The current evidence base provides a clear indication that exercise is an additional powerful weapon in the fight against, and recovery from, cancer.

Latest Health Poll Results Announced for 2012 New Year's Resolutions

So what's on your list of New Year's resolutions?

When the New Year's parties end, a lot of us are left with some tough promises to keep.

The latest NPR-Thomson Reuters Health Poll is revealing what Americans are making their New Year's resolutions.

The telephone poll of more than 3,000 adults across the country was conducted during the first half of December. The margin for error is plus or minus 1.8 percentage points. Click here to read the questions and complete results.

How much did people want to lose? Almost half of people with dieting in mind wanted to drop 10 to 29 pounds. About 21 percent wanted to shed between 30 and 49 pounds.

Fifty one percent of all respondents  make a resolution to exercise more. Thirty five percent pledge to lose weight and 9% of smokers  make a resolution to quit smoking.

Some people have had a lot of practice with their vows to do better. A little more than a third of people have resolved to lose weight at least once in the past five years. Among those who have promised themselves they'd shed a few pounds, 38 percent made that resolution five years in a row.

Making a resolution is the easy part. How well do people actually do? Overall, 57 percent of respondents who wanted to lose weight in the past told us they'd reached their goal.

Quitting smoking is more challenging. Among people who had vowed to quit smoking at least once in the past five years, only 36 percent said they had succeeded.

Now, we have to admit that we wondered how accurate people's reports of success on their goals might be. The folks at Practice Fusion, a supplier of electronic medical record systems for doctors' offices, gave us another way of looking at things.

The company combed through a sample of real-world data from doctors' records, including the weights of more than 21,000 patients measured in 2010 and again in 2011. There's a lot of people who are losing some weight. Overall, about 46 percent of people lost some weight. On average, it was about 7 pounds from one year to the next.

Now the Practice Fusion data are from people who saw their doctors regularly, and we don't know how that lines up with respondents to our poll. After looking at the poll's findings and his own company's data, you might not reach your ambitious New Year's health goal, but it's still worth a try. You may lose a little weight, which is better than none at all.

Essex County NJ Personal Trainer and Fitness Expert Carey Yang Interviewed by MSN Fitbie on How to Lose Handles to Slim Muffin Top

Morris County NJ personal trainer and fitness expert Carey Yang is interviewed and featured in the authoritative source for diet, fitness and weight loss site MSN Fitbie. The title of the article is "How to Lose Your Love Handles: 10 Moves to Slim Your Mufftin Top."

Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC -- a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.

MSN Fitbie is the authoritative online destination bringing premium content from Rodale's brands, including Women's Health, Prevention, Runner's World, and Men's Health, combined with MSN Lifestyle portfolio of sites, offering advice on how to look, feel and live better by making the right diet and fitness choices.

"It's a new breakthrough for me that would help me catapult my health and fitness credibility to the next level," Yang says. "As one of trusted MSN content partners, Fitbie site could potentially reach 70 millions people around the world."

This article attempts to educate people the right mindset, diet, lifestyle and exercises to help them shrink love handle by attack unwanted belly fat from all angles. Ten toning moves are recommended to target hips, abs, obliques, and lower back.

"Regional fat storage has a lot to do with diet, lifestyle, and overall body fat level," Yang says. "In addition to overall weight loss and eating a diet rich in belly-flattening foods, keeping levels of estrogen, insulin, and cortisol in balance by managing stress and getting a good night's rest is the key to sustainable, long-term fat loss."

Yang recommends ten moves in the article that help strengthen the muscles surround waistline. Many of the moves can be done at home without any special equipment. A basic weekly workout routine include performing two or three 45-minute strength-training sessions each week, and dedicate 10 to 15 minutes to abs and core exercises. Alternate between upper-body and lower-body exercises for a total-body workout. If done right, every strength-training move involves core and abs muscles.

"You can accelerate fat loss by adding intense 15-minute cardio intervals to the end of each strength-training session or by performing 30-minute cardio interval sessions 2 days a week when you do not strength-train," Yang says. "But don't overdo it. Overtraining will increase the stress hormone cortisol, causing more fat storage than fat burning, and making you more prone to fatigue and injury."

Essex County NJ Personal Trainer Reviews 24/7 Fat Loss System to Lose Unwanted Body Fat

For middle-aged men and women having trouble to lose unwanted body fat now can learn the scientifically proven strategies reviewed by Denville, Morris County NJ personal trainer and fitness expert Carey Yang.

Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC -- a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.

There are two main reasons that people don't burn fat 24/7. First, most weight loss programs simply look at calories. Calories are important but only partially true in successful, sustainable fat loss. "The truth is, if your fat loss program is not strategically addressing your internal hormonal environment with specific strategies the amount of fat you're able to burn will be far from optimized and you pretty much have zero chance of actively burning fat for more than a few hours a day," Yang says.

Secondly, most people do not perform the type of exercises that truly boost their metabolism. The type of exercise that gets this kind of benefit is not the type of exercise commonly performed for fat loss in gyms all around the world. "If you're doing traditional slow-go cardio or high repetition, light weight resistance training, you are leaving each session with virtually no positive effect on your metabolism," Yang says.

"I discovered this powerful, breakthrough 24/7 Fat Loss system from two of  my most trusted fitness colleagues Joel Marion and Craig Ballantyne." Yang says. "If you want burn fat 24/7, your body's fat burning hormones must be optimized 24/7 and your metabolism must be elevated around the clock with the use of four very strategic methods employed in the 24/7 Fat Loss system."

1. Optimized Nutrient Combining: Avoid deadly nutrient combination of carb and fat. Release of insulin and fat promote storage. Do this by simply protein in every meal.

2. Carb Syncing: No carb intake is not solution to lose fat. Priming your body with carb at the right times, in the morning and after intense exercise can strategically help you lose more fat.

This is what allows for an unparalleled exercise-induced increase in metabolism for hours and hours after your session—something we call the "after burn."

"When you combine the metabolism power of Metabolic Resistance Training with the hormone-regulating power of Optimized Nutrient Timing, Carb Syncing, and Strategic Overfeeding, the only thing your body can do is respond by burning fat 24/7," Yang says.

"I encourage everyone, not just middle-aged men and women, to check out this 24/7 fat loss program at http://tinyurl.com/44kydod," Yang says.

How to Motivate Your Spouse to Work Out Together with You

[

In a recent post about relationship traps to weight loss success, I have received great comments and feedback. Partner training for couples can be challenging for both clients and the fitness trainer.

One big obstacle before getting the couple to work out together is often that one is more motivated than the other to exercise. It can be very frustrating for the motivated one. Nagging is usually not working well.

As a personal trainer and fitness coach consulting, coaching and training many couples over the years, I find myself almost like a psychologist, a profiler, or  a mentalist. I have to put my head into their heads and think what they think like.

As a personal trainer, the easy part is design a partner workout program for the couple. The tough part is to get them started  and do it together.

We have to dig bigger and deeper to understand why people are doing or not doing what they know they're supposed to be doing. What really motivates them?

Remember, you can only change yourself.

Think and answer these questions.

What is motivation?

How do you get motivated and stay motivated?

Why do you want or need to work out?

Do you have the power to change your habit and behavior?

Why don't you have the burning desire to achieve the body you've alway wanted?

What's stopping you from achieving your goal?

Let's take a look at human behavior and self-determination theory (SDT). The SDT goes by that the more self-determined we are, the more we're doing what we want to do and aren't forced to do; therefore the happier and more successful we tend to be. Sounds logic and reasonable?

How Motivated Are You?

Five levels of motivation and type are categorized in the following.

Level 1: You have no particular reason for working out.
Motivation Type: Amotivation
No external or internal factors influence your activity, so no activity occurs.

Level 2: You work out because other people like you better when you're in shape.
Motivation Type: External Regulation
The mind responds to outside stimulii, though no internal motivation exists.

Level 3: You work out because you would feel bad about yourself if you didn't.
Motivation Type: introjected Regulation
Internal motivation begin to form, but limited positive outcome occurs.

Level 4: You work out because you believe it's important and beneficial for health and lifestyle.
Motivation Type: Identified Regulation
Motivations become more positive, resulting in prolonged positive behavior.

Level 5: You work out because you simply enjoy it.
Motivation Type: Intrinsic Motivation
Positive activity is performed for extended periods because of pleasure response.

So what's your level of motivation?

The less intrinsic your motivation for exercising is, the more you're working out because you think you should and because you really enjoy it - the less likely you are to stick with it.

If you accept this behavorial model, the next question is how do you transcend to the next level, eventually to Level 5 and stay at it?

Find the Good Reasons to Drive You to Succeed

Anything you do, no matter how simple, has a number of good reasons behind it. Not all the tasks have the good reasons to do them seen at first sight, but if you take just a few moments to analyse them, you will easily spot something good. We also have many tasks which don’t need any reasoning at all - we’ve been doing them for so long that they feel natural.

But if you’re ever stuck with some task you hate and there seems to be no motivation to complete it whatsoever, here’s what you need to do: find your good reasons. This applied to working out and eating healthy. They may not be obvious, but stay at it until you see some. This will bring your motivation back and will help you finish the task.

Too many people have the quick-fix mentality partly due to inaccurate weight-loss infomercials. They quit exercising when they don't see results in two weeks, 21 days or 30 days.
Health and fitness is not a 12-week program. It's a lifelong commitment.
What's Really Driving You?

Material reward? This is quite often. You will get paid for doing something you normally don’t like doing at all. External rewards and punishments do influence our behavior.

Personal gain or pleasure? You will learn something new or will perhaps improve yourself in a certain way. When we're kids playing baseball or any games because it's fun, not because we can put on muscles or stay healthy. We're driven to do things simply for their own sake.

Sense of accomplishment? At least you’ll be able to walk away feeling great about finding the motivation and courage to complete such a tedious task.

A step closer to your bigger goal? Even the biggest accomplishments in history have started small and relied on simple and far less pleasant tasks than you might be working on. Every task you complete brings you closer to the ultimate goal, and acknowledging this always feels good.

There are many factors to consider when a choosing personal trainer. One of the most important considerations often overlooked regarding in-home personal training is gender.

Women have different goals and need to train differently than men. Most women want to trim down and tone up rather than bulking up.

There are many other reasons for choosing a female in-home personal trainer.

Consider the following, if

* Feel self-conscious about exercising with a male personal trainer in the your own home?

* Prefer a female personal trainer with an instinct to help and nurture?

* Prefer to work with a female personal trainer who identifies with and understands your body cycles?

* Understand the benefits of training with someone that empathizes with your busy daily life?

* Want a trainer who designs quality routines because your health is as important to them as it is to you?

* Need the positive motivation a woman often provides?

* Want to be held accountable by someone who identifies with your needs and limitations?

* Want to avoid making your husband or boyfriend jealous?

* Want a female personal trainer who provides good health advice from an intimate, innate perspective?

* Worry that a male trainer may make you nervous and distract you?

First, check your ego at the door. Cable cross-over or fly exercise is a single-joint isolation exercise. You don't use that kind heavy weight for chest "pressing" or "pushing" exercise.

Secondly, keep your arms straight and elbows slight bent. Keep at that angle throughout the range of motion with your shoulder joints as the anchoring points. Trace the movement as if you are "hugging" someone - with your arms open and coming around. It's different from where you are "pushing" someone as in the chest press exercise.

Third, focus on contracting or squeezing your chest muscles together when your arms come around together toward the centerline. You can even hold for a second or two for extra muscle contraction. Then return cable smoothly with control while holding the tension.

The 8th Missing Habit of Highly Fit and Healthy People

If you missed my earlier articles onThe Top 3 Habits of Highly Fit and Healthy People and The 4 Forgotten Habits of Highly Fit and Healthy People, you can read them in the following links.
I received great comments and feedback from my readers and clients on all the 7 habits of highly fit and healthy people.
However, deep in my mind, I feel something is still missing. Some of my clients say the same thing. I listed eating, exercise, making time, setting goal, water intake, no-dieting mindset and tracking program as the top 7 healthy habits — look pretty complete.
So, what else is missing?
After some thoughts and soul searching, I discover that these healthy habits are more about external changes and less about habitual programming and mindset changes for sustaining long term success. They’re more about an individual’s own behavioral changes, than influence from the environment.
Here it is that I name the 8th Missing Habit of Highly Fit and Healthy People:
#8 Habit: Sense of Involvement and Community
If you have top 7 habits and become too obsessed about them, you become a gym rat. You turn into a healthy freak. You isolate yourself from the outside world. You care only about yourself.
You may have a physically fit and healthy body but are lack of emotional health and maturity.
Highly fit and healthy people help and share with other people their success by promoting healthy and active lifestyle. They’re involved in their community in many different ways.
One of them is to participate in community services or charity fundraising events that benefit the disadvantages or for good causes. They have healthy hearts, and more than that, they  have BIG hearts that serve and help the community.
If you resonate with me, now go out to run  5K charity races or serve the spaghetti meals.

NJ Top Personal Trainer Urges Gov. Chris Christie Take His Weight and Health Serious

Yes. There is still a slim fat chance that NJ Gov. Chris Christie can run for U.S. President and win the race if and only if he starts to lose weight, get healthy and in better shape.

Although the general American population is overweight and most (overweight) people pick on other people's weighty weight problem (in this case, NJ Gov. Chris Christie), the public still like to see a mentally sharp, physically fit President to lead a fiscally balanced nation to wealth and prosperity.

Let me ask you a question, how's your workout working for you? If it hasn't been working consistently, it's time to let go and make changes.

Great leaders set a good  example for demonstrating their integrity and characters. They walk the talk, not just talk to talk. It would be an inspiration to all Americans if you step up the plate, keep your promise, show your discpline and results.

It may not the right time for you to run for U.S. President. However, it’s TIME for you to run for your own health. In fact, there is no right time, good time or bad time to lose weight, exercise and eat healthy. The only thing you have to do is to decide. Make your decision. Commit to your decision. Set up a strategic game plan. Execute the plan and follow through.

So when the time comes to run for U.S. President, you're ready for it.

You have personal trainer before and may still have one. Today, I’d like to make you an unsolicted, nonpartisan, and sincere offer.

Please allow me to be your personal trainer and fitness coach, to help you lose weight, get fit and healthy, and in good shape!

The decsison is yours.

Carey Yang, Certified Personal Trainer & Dream Body Expert
"Seated Dumbbell Shoulder Press"

Essex County NJ personal trainer, fitness bootcamp coach and your dream body workout expert Carey Yang shows how to do seated dumbbell shoulder press effectively and safely to build round, sharply sculpted shoulder muscles.

Two modified variations can be done if you have shoulder joint problems. (Always consult your doctor if you have any shoulder joint or rotator cuff related orthopedic conditions.)

One modified variation is to lower the dumbbells only to where your upper arms are parallel to the floor or when you start to feel discomfort or pain.

The second modified variation is to move your elbows toward the front and do your dumbbell press in the sagittal plane.

How to Burn 5 Pounds of Pure Fat Every 7 Days

Discover How You Can Burn MORE Than
1,000 Calories EVERY Workout, Diet Only Three Days Each Week, And Consistently Melt Away Up to FIVE Pounds Of Pure Fat Every 7 Days...

I want you to imagine yourself burning MORE than 1,000 Calories EVERY workout, feeling (and looking) absolutely incredible each and every day, and consistently stripping away up to FIVE pounds of PURE fat week, after week...after week...

Now how does that sound to you?

Exactly.

You see, the truth is you can burn a whopping THOUSAND calories EVERY workout, and you can look and feel your best while rapidly losing fat...but before we get in to how, you first you need to understand exactly why you're NOT:

Essentially, the entire structure of the 1,000 Calorie Challenge program was specifically designed to progress you along the calorie continuum as fast as humanly possible so that in a matter of just a few short weeks you’ll be performing full-blown 1,000 calorie workouts that burn massive calories and lead to massive fat loss.

My fitness colleagues Arnel and Joel discovered a R-Quattro™ technology that is a major contributor to making that possible.

With R-Quattro™ they strategically manipulate four training variables to tackle progressive overload from four unique angles.

1. Reps – the number of repetitions performed for each exercise
2. Resistance – the load used for each exercise
3. Rest – the length of rest periods between exercises and rounds
4. Rounds – the number of times a circuit of exercises is completed

The end result is the fastest possible progression toward the 1,000 calorie goal, and a heaping helping of fat loss results with each and every workout to boot.

Here's a quick rundown of how R-Quattro™ is implemented in to the weekly set-up of the 1,000 Calorie Challenge program:

Monday: Baseline workout
Wednesday: Reps and Resistance are increased
Friday: Rest decreases, Rounds are increased

The first workout is always the baseline. Then every workout (Workout 2 and 3 of each week) thereafter gets even more challenging (and subsequently burns more calories and fat) by manipulating R-Quattro™.

But let me warn you, if you are LAZY and are simply looking for a "magic bullet" solution, this is not the program for you.

The simple fact of the matter is this: the 1,000 Calorie Challenge is NOT a "quick fix." It's a SMART fix to a very complex problem that consequently yields the fastest fat loss imaginable.

Oh, and did we mention that you'll probably even GAIN a couple pounds of firm, calorie-burning lean muscle while you lose fat at record speed? That's unheard of. But the reality is that we've had clients do it over and over again with this program.

At the same time, we want to make sure we're being very clear: make no mistake, this program takes work, and if you're one of these people who simply can't fully dedicate 8 short weeks to radically changing their body—a change that you will be able to enjoy for the rest of your LIFE—then please, do not invest in this system.

But for those of you who are serious, those who are ready to put for the effort, the 1,000 Calorie Challenge will absolutely yield faster fat loss than anything else you've ever experienced—GUARANTEED.

Check it out and take the 1000 calorie challenge =>

Top 3 Habits of Highly Fit and Healthy People

Healthy Habit #1: They Eat

No one ever dieted their way to long term fitness and health. Despite the disturbing trend toward fad diets like Master Cleanse (which involve extreme calorie restriction or striking entire food groups from a person’s diet,) well-conditioned, in-shape people eat. And they actually eat a lot.

The difference between fit eaters and fat eaters, is that highly fit people eat differently — they tend to eat more whole, unprocessed foods; have higher lean protein intake; consume the bulk of their carbohydrates in the form of complex carbs like whole grains, vegetables and whole fruit; and avoid the “fat free food” trap. They also tend to eat more frequently (as many as six to seven meals a day), but make those meals smaller.

The result is that they have more stable blood sugar, more consistent energy levels, and are less prone to gaining body fat because they rarely eat more calor ies in any given meal than their body can utilize.

Healthy Habit #2: They Move

People who seem to be perpetually in good shape not only eat frequently, but they move a lot. This seems elementary, but in a sedentary society, we are moving less than ever before.

Highly fit people don’t shy away from physical activity in their daily lives, whether that is walking when they could have drove or taking the stairs when the elevator would have been more convenient. If we walked more, and drove less, we wouldn’t have to spend as much time on the treadmill at the gym. Yet our daily lives are often arranged in such a way to discourage physical activity.

Highly fit people consciously go out of their way to find opportunities to move. Whether that is parking a greater distance away from the shopping mall, taking the stairs at work, or even picking up their pace when walking from meeting-to-meeting, you’l l always notice that fit people seem to be on the move.

They also find ways to get exercise that doesn’t always require spending time at the gym. Whether that’s recreational sports, walking the dog, swimming, running, yoga, pilates or even stretching at their desks, they understand that staying in-shape is a lifestyle, not just a “kick” you go on.

Healthy Habit #3: They Make the Time for Exercise

“I don’t have time for exercise” isn’t something you’ll hear from a highly fit person. Everyone is busy and everyone has career, family and community obligations. But highly fit people make time for exercise.

Indeed, they often hold their exercise time sacred and will always figure out a way to meet their other commitments, while still meeting their health, diet and fitness needs. The truth is that most people have far more time available in their day then they think. T hey spend time watching tv, playing video games, surfing the Internet, going to the movies or even sleeping an extra hour or two.

Exercise doesn’t require that much time. In general, less than 60 minutes a day. Most people easily have that time available to them, they just choose to use it differently. Highly fit people, on the other hand, make exercise a priority. They make a choice to watch an hour less of TV in the evening in order to take care of their body and health. And with all of the studies that show the tremendous benefits to regular exercise, it’s clear that more people should follow their lead and make it a priority as well.

Sculpt Wide Strong Back Muscle for V Taper Body Shape

Carey Yang, Certified Personal Trainer & Dream Body Expert
"Lat Pulldown"

For women who want to get rid of back fat and shape up for hour-glass body and for men who want to build strong, wide back muscle and sculpt a V-taper body shape now can learn from Morris County NJ personal trainer and fitness expert Carey Yang with effective lat pulldown exercise.

Yang is the owner and master personal trainer at Beyond Fitness Solutions, LLC -- a leading in-home personal training and weight-loss management company serving and helping clients in Morris County, Sussex County, Passaic County, Essex County and Somerset County areas in New Jersey.

"Lat pulldown is an excellent back exercise for people who cannot do standard pullup with their bodyweights," Yang says. "The problem is that most people are still doing lat pulldown wrong, mainly by pulling the weight down like a rocking action because they use too much weight."

Yang says, "You should use the right amount of weight and make sure you can pull the bar all the way down towards your chest or sternum and squeeze your lat and back muscles at this position. Then return the weight or bar back up with good control, not just let go of."

"You can also vary the width of your hand placements and your grip type to shift muscle tension to different parts of lat and back." Yang says.

The Best Exercise to Build V-Tapered Upper Body for Men and Tone Up Bosom for Women

Carey Yang
Certified Personal Trainer & Dream Body Expert
"Incline Dumbbell Press to Build Upper Chest Muscle"

Somerset County NJ personal trainer, fitness bootcamp coach and your dream body workout expert Carey Yang shows how to do incline dumbbell press to build upper chest muscles.

Incline dumbbell press is an excellent exercise to build upper chest muscles with emphasis on the inner pec for more defined chest. It should be a basic foundation exercise for both men and women.

For men, nicely scuplted and defined upper chest muscle together with well rounded shoulder muscle gives an eye-opening chiseled and V-tapered upper body look.

For women, working on upper chest helps firm up their bosom for an uplifting look and feel - that is, natural breast enhancement without surgery.

A modified variation by rotating elbows down to become neutral grip when lowering the weight is more friendly to your shoulder joints.

When you press the weight up, rotate your elbows to become standard pronated grip. That rotational movement would add extra muscle engagements and activate your front deltoid muscles.

Make sure you have a good control on the weight you're using. Practice proper skill to get the dumbbell up and off. Catch the weight on your way down when you're finished; not to throw off or drop the dumbbells on the floor. You may hurt yourself or hurt other people working out by you.

Best Bench Press Workout to Build Big Chest Muscles

Carey Yang, Certified Personal Trainer & Dream Body Expert
"Barbell Bench Press"

Essex County NJ personal trainer, Biggest Loser Bootcamp coach and your dream body workout expert Carey Yang shows how to do barbell bench press to build muscular chest muscles.

Having big, massive, rounded, muscular and separated chest muscles is a standard for bodybuilders and a dream goal for men who want to look big and muscular. Bench press is the foundation or basic exercise to build chest muscles

Bench press is the grand daddy of bodybuilding exercises to build overall big chest muscles. Make sure you pull/point your elbows directly toward the floor. Also keep your elbows tucked in by your sides, not to flare out.

Focus on contracting or squeezing your pectoral (chest) muscles on the top of the pressing movement. Lowering the weight smooth with good control. Have a spotter when you're pushing your max without getting injured.

The standard lifting tempo (rep speed) is 3 seconds down (lowering the weight) and 2 seconds up (pressing the weight up). It can varied at different tempos. The key is still keeping good form, good control of the weight and good contraction of chest muscles, instead of merely moving the weight from point A to point B.

In addtion to mainly targeting your chest muscles, bench press also works on the triceps (particularly the lateral head) and anterior deltoid (front shoulder) muscles.

You can also vary the width of your grip and angle of the seated bench to shift tension (muscle contraction) from chest to triceps or shoulders. Remember to tuck in your elbows by your sides and pointed down toward the floor regardless of the grip width and seated angles.
